Mexican Interior Minister Fransisco Ramirez Acuna said that navy and army boats and helicopters had been sent from around the country to help. He also has acknowledged that the floods have overhelmed the government.

New Glaslow Fire Department Officials evacuate people from Twin Rivers Trailer Court, Stellarton, Scotland. Thirty people voluntarily evacuated following flooding that blocked access to the area that the waters was more than 1.5 meters. The water also trapped a woman driving down Bridge Avenue in her car for nearly 40 minutes.

Deputy Mayor Denise Taylor said. “It is very fortunate that the Stellarton Fire Department has the co-operation of the the EMOs and the New Glasgow Fire Department in this situation. You never know what Mother Nature is going to do.”
