Scary Video When Flood Hit Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), November 25, 2009
Flood hit Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 25 November 2009. Ninety millimetres of heavy rain falling on non-absorbent desert soils turned into what some residents called a tsunami-like wave that rolled into Jeddah, overwhelming its limited storm drainage system.
Flood submerged homes and roads, killing at least 120 people. Hundreds of cars washed away and destroyed as seen in the video.
